Dementia support

Alzheimer’s Society

Alzheimer’s Society’s mission is to transform the landscape of dementia forever. In their new strategy, the New Deal on Dementia, they make a commitment to be available to every person who receives a diagnosis. They want everyone affected by dementia to know that, whatever you are going through wherever you are, whoever you are, you can turn to Alzheimer’s Society for support, help and advice. Until we find a cure, Alzheimer’s Society will strive to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported, accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. Click here, or visit their Facebook page or follow them on twitter

If you are suffering from dementia, or you are a carer of someone who is, you can make a self-referral to the Dementia Support Service provided by the Alzheimer’s Society by calling 0300 1234 589

Patient update from Tudor Lodge Surgery:

Like other GP practices, we are affected by the current national shortage of blood tubes.

In order to continue blood tests for people with the greatest clinical need, we are delaying routine and non-urgent blood tests in line with national guidance.

If you have an appointment booked in the next few weeks the reception team will be in touch via phone or text. Your appointment will be rescheduled once the situation is resolved.

We will be providing regular updates on our website, which we encourage you to check for the latest info.

Please don’t contact us – we will be in touch with you when appointments can be rescheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
