Please don’t contact the surgery to ask for Mounjaro. The NHS is introducing it in stages, and we will contact patients who are eligible to invite them for an appointment.
Tirzepatide (brand name Mounjaro) is a weekly self-injection that helps with weight loss by reducing your appetite. On the NHS it is always given alongside support to change your diet, activity and lifestyle.
To make sure it reaches the people who need it most, the NHS is rolling it out in stages to people who meet strict criteria. At the moment this is people with:

The NHS can only continue your treatment if you meet the NHS criteria at the time you ask. If you don’t, we won’t be able to prescribe it. For any questions about a private prescription, including stopping or reducing it, please speak to your private provider.
